Get answers to common questions about Buccal Massage.
During your Buccal Massage appointment we begin with a brief consultation, cleansing, and warm-up. The therapist works inside the cheeks and along external muscles using sculpting strokes, promotes lymphatic drainage, then finishes with serums and aftercare advice.
Most clients experience gentle pressure and an unusual but comfortable internal sensation. Therapists adjust pressure to your comfort; brief soreness or sensitivity can occur afterward but typically subsides within a day or two.
Sessions typically run 45 to 75 minutes depending on whether Buccal Massage is standalone or part of a full facial. Your therapist will confirm timing during booking and recommend treatment length based on concerns and desired results.
Ideal candidates include clients with facial tension, puffiness, early sagging, or TMJ-related tightness seeking non-surgical sculpting. Not recommended if you have oral sores, recent dental surgery, severe acne, or certain medical conditions without prior clearance.
When performed by trained professionals risks are minimal but include temporary soreness, minor bruising, or sensitivity. Avoid Buccal Massage with oral infections, recent fillers, bleeding disorders, or pregnancy unless cleared by a provider; disclose medical history during consultation.
Results vary, but many clients notice initial definition and reduced puffiness after one session, with cumulative lifting after three to six treatments. For lasting results, we recommend a tailored maintenance plan, often monthly or biweekly depending on goals.
