Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Microneedling.

Microneedling creates tiny, controlled micro-injuries that trigger collagen and elastin production. Over several sessions, new connective tissue remodels the skin, reducing fine lines, scarring, and laxity to reveal smoother, firmer, more youthful-looking skin.

We apply topical numbing to minimize discomfort; most clients feel mild pressure and tingling only. Post-treatment redness and sensitivity are common for a few days but are manageable with aftercare. Pain is generally mild and brief.

Most clients see improvements after one session, but optimal results typically require a series of three to six treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. The exact number depends on skin condition, scarring, and desired outcome—your esthetician will customize a plan.

Expect redness, warmth, and slight swelling for 24–72 hours; skin may flake as it heals. Use gentle cleanser, hydrating serum, and SPF; avoid exfoliants, makeup, and sun exposure. Follow your esthetician's instructions to support healing and best results.

Transient redness, swelling, tenderness, pinpoint bleeding, and temporary pigmentation changes can occur. Rarely, infection or scarring happens when protocols aren’t followed. We screen clients for contraindications and follow strict sanitation and aftercare to minimize risks.

Ideal candidates seek improved texture, reduced scarring, enlarged pores, or fine lines and have generally healthy skin. Those with active acne, keloid scarring, certain skin conditions, pregnancy, or recent isotretinoin use should avoid or consult a provider first.
