Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Foot Paraffin (Upgrade).

Yes—generally safe. We perform a quick skin check and use controlled-temperature paraffin suitable for sensitive feet. Tell your technician about allergies or reactions beforehand. Avoid treatment if you have open sores, severe dermatitis, or recent skin procedures.

The upgrade adds about ten to twenty minutes to your pedicure. Each foot is dipped several times, wrapped in warm paraffin and rested to maximize absorption. Plan for a slightly longer appointment to fully enjoy the treatment.

Most clients can add this upgrade, but it’s not advised for those with open wounds, active infections, uncontrolled diabetes, severe vascular disease, or neuropathy. Pregnant clients should consult their doctor. Always disclose medical conditions when booking.

The paraffin is removed before you leave, leaving minimal residue. Your feet will be moisturized and may feel slightly slick until fully absorbed. We recommend wearing open-toed shoes or allowing time to let the lotion absorb before putting on socks or tight footwear.

For best results, schedule the Foot Paraffin (Upgrade) every two to four weeks alongside regular pedicures. Frequent treatments keep skin consistently hydrated and soft. Adjust frequency based on seasonal dryness, activity level, and personal preference; we can recommend a schedule for your needs.

Paraffin’s gentle heat often reduces stiffness and temporarily eases arthritic discomfort by increasing circulation and relaxing muscles. It’s not a medical cure; consult your physician if you have chronic joint disease. Our technicians can tailor treatment and track comfort improvements over time.
