Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Half Arms.

Most clients enjoy smooth half arms for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycles and individual factors. Regular waxing can gradually slow regrowth, while proper exfoliation and moisturizing help extend results between appointments.

Discomfort varies by individual and hair thickness. Most clients describe a quick stinging or pulling sensation that fades fast. Our technicians use calming techniques and aftercare to reduce sensitivity, making the procedure manageable and increasingly easier with repeated sessions.

For best results, hair should be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch (roughly 6–12 mm) long. This length allows the wax to grip hair effectively. If hair is shorter, scheduling later or allowing regrowth yields a more comfortable, thorough treatment.

Avoid hot baths, intense sun, and heavy sweating for 24–48 hours. Apply gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer and avoid exfoliating for 48 hours. After 48 hours, light exfoliation helps prevent ingrown hairs. Contact us if you notice prolonged irritation or unusual reactions.

Shaving defeats waxing benefits and should be avoided between appointments. If you shave, you’ll need to wait for sufficient regrowth before your next wax. Instead, trim gently or let hair grow to recommended length to ensure effective waxing and lasting results.

Certain conditions like sunburn, recent chemical peels, open wounds, active infections, or taking Accutane may preclude waxing. Pregnancy, medications, and sensitive skin require consultation. Always disclose medications and skin conditions during booking so we can assess suitability and recommend alternatives if needed.
