Most clients enjoy smoothness for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth rate, hormones and personal care. Regular waxing can lengthen intervals by encouraging finer regrowth. We recommend returning every four to six weeks for best maintenance.

Waxing can be briefly uncomfortable, but pain is short-lived compared to constant shaving irritation. Technicians use techniques and pre-warm wax to reduce discomfort. Numbing creams optional; regular appointments often become less painful as hair thins.

Ensure hair is at least 1/4 inch long, exfoliate gently a day or two before, avoid heavy lotions, and arrive clean. Pain relievers, if needed, can be taken an hour prior and consult us about medications or skin concerns.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, and intense exercise for 24 hours. Keep the area clean, apply soothing aloe or calendula products we recommend, and exfoliate gently after 48-72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. Use SPF if exposed to sun.

Consult with our technicians during booking. Certain medications (like retinoids, Accutane, steroids) or skin conditions can increase sensitivity or risk. We may request a patch test, recommend alternatives, or advise waiting until safe to wax.

Ideally hair should be about 1/4 inch (6 mm) long so the wax can grip. If hair is too short, we may ask you to wait until it grows slightly; overgrown hair can be trimmed for comfort before waxing.
